TRANSFER PRINTING THERMOCIL

TRANSFER PRINTING PROCESS



This printing technique consists of a simple color transfer process involving the sublimation of colourings from paper to heat-resistant synthetic fibers (Polyester, Poliamides, Acrylics and Elastomers). The transfer printing process allows high color definition to be attained at a low cost, requiring no after-print treatment, via a clean, safe and simple process.

The THERMOCIL is the ideal machine for achieving optimum quality printing. It is manufactured in different versions that allow productions of 180 m/h up to 900 m/h in widths from 2000 mm up to 3500 mm. Versions with double paper and fabric rollers and unrollers permit the THERMOCIL to run 24 hours/day in a continuous form. The easy operational control panel allows speed adjustment, cylinder temperature and blanket pressure most suitable for each fabric type.

APPLICATIONS



THERMOCIL model permits the following operations to be carried out:
- Transfer printing with a compact machine.
- Printing on wide fabrics (up to 3200 mm) by means of the synchronised use of two narrow paper rolls. (DDS).
- Fabric printing with metal foil by means of a pressure cylinder at exit point.
- Warp printing with special rollers and unrollers.
- Lamination of two fabrics (bonding) by installing three unrolling devices at entrance. (fabric - film - fabric).
- Finishing by felt calender with compact machine.

SPECIFICATIONS



HEATING CYLINDER

FONTANET's technical staff has excelled itself in the design of heating cylinder, which plays a vital role in the printing process. The implement of a precise research and development program has resulted in a cylinder that guarantees temperature uniformity throughout the heating surface up to 250°C. The temperature is controlled by a Microprocessor with a maximum deviation of ±1°C.

There are two possible Heating systems for the THERMOCIL. Both guarantee the outmost uniformity in temperature homogenization.

- By means of electrical resistances that heat up the thermal oil inside the cylinder and turning as one with it. An expansion oil reservoir assures total oil fill up inside cylinder for temperature uniformity.

- By means of circulating thermal oil which in turn is heated by an external boiler with different firing fuels.

BLANKET

The pressure required between the paper and fabric in order to achieve good printing results is obtained with an endless felt capable of resisting temperatures up to 300°C. Pressure is pneumatically regulated between 50 and 650 gr/cm2 depending on fabric being processed. Automatic centering and guiding of blanket is accomplished pneumatically on heating cylinder.
